Fearless Art Studio
Fearless Art Studio is a warm, supportive therapy group led by an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist, where kids grow social confidence and fine motor skills through creative art-making. Sessions are designed to join like-minded friends, have authentic conversation, and practice how to handle mistakes, changes, and big feelings in a safe, encouraging space.
Through drawing, painting, collage, clay and craft projects, children build hand strength, pencil/scissor control, bilateral coordination and visual-motor skills - while also practising sharing materials, flexible thinking, and self-advocacy (asking for help, requesting a break, and expressing ideas respectfully).
Nothing has to be perfect here. Fearless Art Studio is a place to explore, express, connect, and create bravely - with therapists gently supporting each child’s unique participation, communication, and confidence along the way.

Sets + Sequences

Across sessions, kids practise the building blocks of independence: planning, sequencing, organising materials, staying with a task, and flexible problem-solving when things don’t go to plan. The group also targets teamwork skills like sharing roles, communicating ideas, negotiating, and cooperating on a shared project - while therapists support regulation, confidence, and positive peer connections.

Through obstacle courses, games, messy play, and hands-on activities, children develop gross motor skills (balance, coordination, motor planning) and fine motor foundations (hand strength, grasp, tool use, visual-motor skills). The group also supports play development, including exploration, pretend play, and learning to flexibly try new ideas.

Using natural materials and outdoor challenges, children work in pairs and small groups to design, build, and explore—while therapists support social connection, safety skills, and confident participation.
Across sessions, children practise teamwork and communication (sharing ideas, negotiating roles, turn-taking), along with key planning and problem-solving skills like making a simple plan, gathering materials, adapting when things change, and persisting through challenges. The outdoor setting also naturally supports body awareness, coordination, and regulation, with predictable routines and clear safety expectations to help kids feel secure and successful.
Outdoor Explorers is a space for kids to move, connect, and create fearlessly—with nature as the playground and imagination as the map.
